Clash of the Titans in 2010

9:36 PM
Whoa! It was 1995, as far as I can remember, the time I have watched its first movie and, at that time, the visual effects really amazed me. But when I saw this trailer just tonight I can't stop myself from getting so ecstatic! Directed by Louis Leterrier (Incredible Hulk), you have to see this guys!

In “Clash of the Titans,” the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.

“Clash of the Titans” is directed by Louis Leterrier from a screenplay by Travis Beacham (“Dog Days of Summer”) and Phil Hay & Matt Manfredi (“Aeon Flux”), and based on the motion picture “Clash of the Titans,” directed by Desmond Davis and written by Beverley Cross. The film is produced by Basil Iwanyk (“We Are Marshall”) and Kevin De La Noy (“The Dark Knight”). The executive producers are Academy Award® winner Richard D. Zanuck and Legendary Pictures’ Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and William Fay.
What Do You Think?

From: Gerry Alanguilan's website

The 5th Annual KOMIKON culminates the Philippine International Cartoons, Comics, and Animation (PICCA) Festival on October 18.
An auction will be held at the Komikon to benef

it Komikeros affected by floods caused by Typhoon Ondoy. Items on hand to be auctioned will be original comics artwork, a signed Leinil Francis Yu sktechbook, a signed rare hardcover slipcase edition of ELMER, and many more.

The online auction is STILL going on! You can check out available items on Ebay here:http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZkomikeroQQhtZ-1

I wish there were more bidders to this. I know we’re on an economic crisis and original art sales are slow in general, but it’s for a good cause. If you could at least help spread the word, it would be much appreciated!

34th Manila Film Fest Animation Entry!

10:05 AM

Hi guys! Please support the upcoming full-length animated feature Film that will blast off this 25th of December! The “First Fully-Digital Animated movie of the Philippines”, all Filipino made, entitled “DAYO” a production of Cutting-Edge Studio owned by infamous musician Jessie Lasaten. This is a groundbreaking animation that uses modern digital technology (paperless animation).

Dayo combines paperless 2-D and 3-D technologies in presenting a fantasy film ripe with figures from Pinoy mythology. It tells the story of an 11-year-old kid named Bubuy (voiced by Star Circle Grand Kid Questor Nash Aguas) out to save his grandparents, who have been abducted into Elementalia, a fantasy land with strange flora and fauna.

At Elementalia, Bubuy meets Anna Manananggirl (voiced by Katrina Legaspi), a hyperactive teener with a special affection for all things human–but not of the tummy-filling kind. Their adventure takes them from massive falls teeming with gravity-defying merfolk to crystal caves housing swarms of alitubi; and from a grand old tree, home to a motherly kapre, to a majestic mountain guarded by a pack of hungry aswang.

Directed by Robert Quilao, Dayo also features the voice talents of Laurice Guillen, Peque Gallaga, Nova Villa, Noel Trinidad, Pokwang, and Michael V. Gerard Salonga does the film score, with Lea Salonga performing the theme.”

Entry to the 34th Metro Manila Film Festival, a funny and exciting animated adventure that will surely satisfy the appetite of Filipino audiences! Bring the entire family and support the growing original-content animation industry of the Philippines!

JURASSIC PARK IV or DINORIDERS?

7:36 AM

The info below is from the link above.

July 18, 2006 —SpielbergFilms.com was able to sit down with Mr. Spielberg in Chicago after the Chicago International Film Festival's (CIFF) Tribute to Steven Spielberg. He was asked a couple of questions about Jurassic Park 4, and put at least one rumor to rest.

Awalt: Understandable. Online, there's been talk about Breck Eisner on 'Jurassic Park IV.'

Spielberg: That's not true. Joe Johnston is standing by.

Awalt: First dibs on it?

Spielberg: First dibs on it, and Joe is my go-to 'Jurassic' guy now.

Awalt: There's been talk about Joe Johnston that says he took the negative flack about 'Jurassic Park III,' and said in public that any faults with the film are his faults. There was talk that you didn't care for the film, but it was profitable, and I've never heard you badmouth it in public, and I doubt you would, but...

Spielberg: Oh no, I don't feel that way at all! I think the film is witty and clever, and I think Joe did an amazing job putting together those battles. And I think those battles Joe put together...I was jealous of the spinosaurus attack on the airplane! That scene where the spinosaurus attacks the airplane and the passengers inside the airplane was every bit as good as I thought the main road attack in 'Jurassic Park' was. So I'm a huge fan of Joe's, and he's the right guy to do the fourth one.

August 14, 2007 —Bloody-Disgusting has learned that Universal Pictures has officially begun casting for "Jurassic Park IV," which will film in Kauai, Hawaii later this year. Laura Dern confirmed her return to the franchise. Sam Neill (Dr. Ellie Sattler) will NOT return. B-D was told that the film is about the government who has trained dinosaurs to carry weapons and use them for battle purposes.Stay tuned for official news.
